I recently discovered where my Ladies in Rome have fun buying gifts for every occasion, including small design objects and furnishing accessories, high-value books, gadgets and fine stationery. It’s Booktique in via della Stelletta 17, a stone’s throw from the Pantheon and Piazza Navona.
Booktique is a curious world of ideas. A transversal world where the Millennials trends meet the nostalgia of an elegant “carnet de voyage”. Born in 2017 from the successful partnership between, Daniele and Fabio Ciccaglioni, Booktique represents today not only a reference point for a cultured and curious Rome but also for a certain type of tourism that loves souvenirs by an author and uncommon city guides that surprise you with their contents and fine print.
I love this place for its selection of art, fashion, life style and cooking books, among the most prestigious publishing houses like Assouline. And it is no coincidence that while browsing through these books you can admire the work of Roman street artist Lucamaleonte on the wall, because this concept store was conceived as a cultural space where you can lose yourself among a prestigious selection of objects from brands such as Seletti, Design letters, Palomar, Izipizi, Fanky Table, ecc. Booktique is also the MAXXI Museum bookshop in Rome. Attention to style, to what is sought after and perhaps in a limited edition has always distinguished Booktique and my “Ladies in Rome” know it well!
